Below are some of the advantages of manor retirement community.

Assisted memory living

The Vogel center for assisted memory living is located in the south wing of Helen Great-house Manor and has 29 private apartments. It is licensed by the Texas board of aging and disability, and it is only available under private funding. This support system offers a homelike experience to residents with early Alzheimer’s or dementia diseases. Residents who are under this support plan are encouraged to interact with each other and also with the staff. Additionally, they get to accomplish daily tasks while enjoying a three daily meal and all-around clock support from our team.

Alzheimer’s care

It is estimated that 5.7 million people are living with Alzheimer’s disease in the USA alone. Out of the 5.7 million, 5.5 million people are above the age of 65. This is an overwhelming statistic, and with that managing it will require a healthy environment and a trained staff. Here at assisted living we offer the best support system for residents diagnosed with this disease. Nurses are available all-round the clock, and residents get checked at frequent intervals. Under this support system, residents get to enjoy three meals a day, as well as other essential services such as laundry.

Additionally, each room is fitted with an alarm button which allows residents to reach our staff with ease. This support system will enable them to live independently even though time to time they may need help with personal care.

Living alone will present you with several maintenance issues, and as much as the problems may be light, you will require calling maintenance personnel to help you do some repairs. Manor has two types of households, the Cowden cottage, and the scharbauer cottage. Each home has an approximate area of 15000 square feet; the private European style inspires their bathrooms. They all have a spacious living room, dining room, and a kitchen. Just like their homes, residents get to have control of their living. This is paramount to us since we want residents to have a say on what they will eat when they want to wake up or how they want their bed made.

Skilled nursing care

Under this program, residents get to enjoy an all-around the clock supervision where they get to be assisted with bathing, dressing, housekeeping, and medication. Additionally, they get to enjoy organized activities while under supervision. This program is licensed by the Texas Department of aging and disability.

Rehab care

Our primary goal has been to return patients who have become highly independent to their homes. This is achieved through onsite occupational, physical and speech therapy. Physical therapy will involve evaluating, training and reassessing patients to improve their mobility. Our occupational therapists help residents depending on their self-care goals, and they look to maximize their abilities. Lastly, our speech therapy program seeks to improve the resident’s communication skills. It is noteworthy that all our therapists are trained and licensed, hence offer quality services.

Manor retirement community allows residents to enjoy a variety of advantages. Additionally, they have created programs which assist people depending on their needs. A good example is the assisted memory living, under this program residents who are on their early Alzheimer’s stage get to enjoy several activities which try to boost their memories.
